No, I wasn't comparing at all. It was your shot that reminded me of the location. I did this about thirty years ago after an ice storm on a freezing January day. After the storm, the wet snow froze to the castle and the trees, with the Hudson frozen over. I had to take the shot quickly because I was worried that the severe cold would slow down the shutter speed. You might recall, in those days the "scientists" were scaring us about the coming Ice Age...

Steve, I don't think we can compare this image with mine; completely different feelings. I like this one. From what I read; this is a pretty hositle place, whether in color or black and white.
